Answers: I live in Ohio and work at a greenhouse-nursery and we recommend planting within either Spring (mid-late March - April -early May) or within the fall (September-October). With that being said, the best time to plant a tree is formerly the sap starts to rise in it which is usually the extremity of Feb. or March in the Spring. I might also suggest that after you verbs a hole for the tree, take a plastic gallon milk decanter and cut bottom off of it and remove the lid, later invert it in the dirt beside the tree until that time planting your tree. Fill the inverted milk jug beside water at tiniest 2 times per week to insure that the roots are getting plenty of water to grow.
