Answers: yes, this is an easy road of overseeding. This is no different than buying grass seed at the store and throwing it down except this isn't costing anything but the fuel used by the mower. But don't tolerate your grass go resembling a weed and then cut profoundly of it off. I've notice my grass starts to seed at around 4 inches, and next I cut it at 3.5. If you let it turn too long and then cut it it will jump into shock or if you let it attain to high and consequently cut it much higher than 3.5 the grass will never dry out and you will acquire fungus.
