Had planted some canadian hemlock the spring previous, and also have redbuds. also am planting some leylandi cypress as very well as crepe myrtles this week, and was wish to know how soon can I fertilize them with 13-13-13 .
I live surrounded by Tennessee and the temperatures arent too cold presently, but I think it should be out of danger to go ahead and sprinkle some fertilizer around the foot of the trees now, shouldnt it?
I tight they arent going to bloom earlier than they should very soon, are they?
Thanks for your answers!
Answers: Fertilizer helps plants to green up and grow leaves. Always continue until after your last freeze/frost to fertilize any plant go. If your plants/trees start to put out leaves and then you own a late freeze, it will disrupt your plants/trees. Might even kill them.
Actually, trees and plants can live short fertilizer. It is not a medicine.
