I love mowing contained by the morning, Just to get it over with. Probably around 6 or 7 would be best to stop and do it another light of day. But it is really about when you have time or an oppertunity. The best time is when the grass desires cut, to late is when the grass is to tall. Who care about the neighbors everyone mows their lawn sometime! (during the day)
Answers: When the weather is hot, it's best to mow contained by the evening. It's less stressful to the grass.
Where I live it gets dull around 9pm this time of year. It takes about an hour to mow my meadow, so I usually begin between 7-7:30. Never had any complaints from the neighbors.
I try and mow my grassland about one hour before the sun sets 1st,it's cooler , 2nd the sun won't burn the grass. After 8:00/am and since 8:00/pm.
Late morning after the dew have evaporated from the grass, or early evening when it is cooling down. I wouldn't mow past 8 PM myself. mow surrounded by the evening, mowing in the morning will bake the grass.
