I love orange-colored lilies. These two types are my favourite, I'd resembling to grow gardens of them when I have my own place this spring. I'm finding it rock-hard to get any information on them.
I'm interested contained by when/for how long they bloom, and for any other care instructions. Thanks!
Answers: Michigan Lilly ( Lilium michiganense) This frenzied lily is smaller than similar garden lilies. There are two similar wild lilies surrounded by Ohio, but only Michigan lily have the sepals and petals fully recurved (bent back) to the stem or suspended base of the flower. The petals of other aboriginal lilies are held away from the base of the flower.Naturally occurring Michigan lilies grow exclusively on former tallgrass prairie sites. When grazed by deer, the lily can jump into dormancy for a year or more, remaining underground with little or no growth.
They bloom from slowly June through July.

Orange Lily or Fire Lily (Lilium bulbiferum) is a dwarf Lily from sunny meadows surrounded by the Alps. Makes upright, bright red cup shaped flowers in untimely summer. The subspecies croceum differs from the species in making bulbils within the leaf axils. Excellent for the rockery garden surrounded by any well drained soil surrounded by a sunny spot.
