I have a 3 yr dated hummingbird vine grown in a pot from pip and have never gotten blooms on it.

I other feed my plants near some kind of fertilizer whether osmicote 3-month nurture, rose food, or sam's choice plain old plant food.

The entity grows like nutty - I keep it trimmed weekly because I'm wanting to bonsai it eventually (need the sticky trunk).

Does it bloom on new wood or old-fashioned wood?
Or is it like a dogwood or wisteria and not bloom for its first few years?

Answers:    Hummingbird vine (Campsis radicans) blooms within summer-fall on new wood. So, to be precise perhaps the problem - you may be pruning adjectives the new growth past its sell-by date and ending up minus any flowers.

This plant is quite a monster - so preserve on top of it so it doesn't draw from out of hand. You can do a rock-hard prune in tardy spring to get the deceased wood out of it and then consent to it go if you want blooms.
