Whats the best passageway to re-seed my meadow where on earth it's dry and shady??
Answers: I have a dog, and need to reseed and overseed my prairie every spring. I mix equal parts of top soil, cow manure, (you could substitute compost, but I would use a larger ratio) and peat moss. I mix it well within a wheel barrel, and spread it on the grass. Toss a good amount of lawn core - I use all purpose, but in a shady spot, grass pip for shade will work well. Then I use a lawn rake and spread the nut into the soil. Water daily, with a lenient spray, and within a week to ten days, you should have a hearty lawn.
I use the same method for overseeding where on earth I have thin or nude spots, and have the greenest, and healthiest lawn surrounded by the neighbourhood. Good luck to you.
What kind of sward is it? If it is St. Augustine, most varieties do not go to kernel. They populate these by cuttings, plugs, or 1*2 sheets. The best thing you can do is to find what kind you enjoy, and go to a local garden center and inquire, what kind will grow contained by shade your particular area and climate. There are literally dozens of variety commonly in use in US. Getting the right big-hearted is the first step.
