Answers:    I really can't find anything on the history of that common designation ( which doesn't mean it isn't within, of course). This plant has alot of adjectives names and this connection will tell you nearly those and about the plant's origins and way. I'm sorry if it isn't what you want but even as Burning Love is often scheduled as one of the common name no one really go into any detail. Perhaps it's just because of the intensity of the color. I'm generous of bummed myself because you aroused my curiousity. Anyway, I tried.
