I have 3 considerable lavender plants that I love and wanted to know what to do next to them to get organized for spring. I have trimmed wager on all limp branches but the remaining ones still have green contained by the wood. I don't want to injur them but I also don't want them to look narly when they come back. We own kept mild weather in the nouns so I just cut put a bet on my mums and such over the weekend and the mums are already coming back.
Also I hold a tiger lilly that is aprox 35 years frail now. It is a element of the plants in the courtyard of the home I grew up in. It have been surrounded by a planter for about 7 years and very soon that my hubby and I have purchased our first home I want to plant it this spring. When should I plant it?
Answers: I love Lavender...I too enjoy Lavender in my garden, and I usually collect my blooms so it will produce better, plus makes great dream pillows, and i use the blooms within my bath, and you can cook near Lavender too....but as far as cutting it put a bet on I don't.
the plants you've mentioned are perennials in my nouns...so they all come posterior ..and Lavender keeps its foliage during the winter here.
Mums, if planted contained by the grown will loose its foliage, and then reseed its self. But I enjoy trimmed my mums back due to adjectives of the foliage but believe it or not...Birds love the dead head of the Mums....so...I usually leave them very soon for the birds..
I let my flower bed lay for the winter...I keep the inert leaves and all surrounded by there it keep moisture and protects most of my bulbs I have..I hold over 200 bulbs in my garden.
Your tiger lilly...I would plant it when at hand will be No More Frosts, or freezing weather. Make sure you plant the tiger lilly in a sunny location.
Gardening have alot to do with what region you live surrounded by, and what your weather conditions normally are.
