This is growing in my yard and the birds love it. I am hoping someone can compress me in on the name of this. It is fruiting right very soon (July) and I live in Atlanta, GA. The berries have a sort of speckled stencil and are slightly oblong on short stems. The leaves almost remind me of cherry or apple leaves. They don't look like any kind of cherry I've ever see.

I want to suggest chokecherry...

. but don't know about the spotted look. if it was the chokecherry, they'd turn completely dark purple later on.. and show up resembling this
