What series of pear tree should i attain (not ornamental)? i think i have an impression i would need to have 2...
i think i have an impression i would need to have 2 i know to cross pollination but i be thinking at get a partly self fertile one close to "conference" or "concorde"
or if u have a better choice of two varieties of pears after you can let me know thanks
A lot of it depends on the zone you live in. Best to ask a local nursery what types do best contained by your area and then select from those.
Depends on what you want to do with the pears. There are species for just for fresh consumption (Comice) and species just for canning (D'Anjou) and species biddable for both ( Bartlett), but species good for both aren't as good for ingestion or canning as a species specifically bred for each purpose.
Lots of companies own created names for the pears they sell, but deeply they are just a variation of the three types I planned. Pick the pear that fits the purpose you want it for. You will be a lot happier.
Answers: I live within Zone 7, and I have Warren & Seckel pears--because they're Fire Blight resistant. Whichever you choose, make sure that they are fire blight resistant because it is incurable to pears! Also make sure if you get a cross pollinator that it will cross pollinate the other--not adjectives will pollinate across the board.
