The plants like to be roughly speaking a foot apart or a little smaller quantity, and grow 3-4 feet elevated. I dont have tons of money and will build it myself. I would close to to grow about 40 plants. these are going to poppies, close to california poppies so as you know they need to be spaced out some. I simply have a small space, in the order of the size of a small kitchen to grow them in.. I will be using flourescent shop lights.. I own done this successfully with a vast water culture system using 14 gallon rubbermaid containers beforehand, but only get about 6 plants per container, how can I maxmize my growth near limited space? Detailed answer will cart the cake.
Answers: if money is a limiting factor, why go for a hydroponic setup.you can budge for something which will get like results that will not cost you as much money.what you need to is plant your plants surrounded by a soilless medium, and afterwards hand nurture with a suitable nutrient mix,it may be more labour-intensive than a hydroponic setup, but the results will be similar.
