I laid Weed & Feed fertilizer 4 days ago. I followed the instructions and am now watering my grass with 1 inch of river every other day. What should my subsequent step be? When should I start seeing difference in the sward? It was suggested to me that I lay Scotts Turf Builder With PLUS 2 Weed Control surrounded by June. Does that sound right?
Also, I enjoy some dead spots that I'll call for to lay seed on. What just about using Scotts Patch Master?
Thanks for the help.
Answers:    You should be fertlizing around once a month, you should notice a difference contained by color in as soon as 1 week. As for dramatic change they wont be realized for a season or two. Dont expect to hold a perfectly plush prairie from a few applications of fertilizer.

As for irrigating, your 1" every other day is for a time too much.

I like to see it done at 1/2" everyother year. As forf addressing thinning and nude areas in the grassland, you may try to address it now, but you CANNOT apply any form of weed control to it for at most minuscule 4-6 weeks after the grass germinates.
AND, most of Scotts weed control products are contact kill BUT are residual, and can stay in the soil for up to a month.

This would be best done within fall anyways, the summer boil wreaks havoc on newly eastablished lawns.

Be sure to never apply these powdery products(WEED AND FEED) when nearby is moisture on the grass, as it will collect on the wheels of your spreader, and any overfertilize the wheel tracks and give up your job it a darker green, or produce nitrogen burn to the wheel tracks.
You are doing adjectives the right things. The most important piece to remember is to never let the grass dry out until the roots are established. Once it has grown out for mowing never mow smaller number that 3 inches. Lawns need the branch blades to absorb the nutrients to build strong roots. So don't cut to short. Good Luck
