This link shows a tree surrounded by my back courtyard. You can see the chain connect fence at the back it. I would like to know what brand of tree it is and when I can trim and how far back. I want to net it a thick bush to block the clatter and trash from coming into our yard. Answers:    I can see why some people imagine this is a lilac, but it isn't. The leaves are too glossy and a moment or two too pointy. Lilacs don't have berries and privets do enjoy blooms. Here's a link to some photos of privets and lilacs that should relief you decide.
