When winters are extremely cold and icey, and summers can be mild to extreme humidity. I don't like apples, and to be precise very popular up here, so be wondering if there is any other fruits that can be grown up here ? Also what kind of Veggies can be grown ? Do I need to check soil temps beforehand as okay ? I would not be using any kind of pesticide, adjectives will be done naturaly without toxins.
Answers: I used to live contained by Rochester NY and always have a great
garden. I grew carrots lettuce tomatoe cucumber zucchini corn adjectives different kinds of herb and had a small strawberry patch. I would turn my soil within April, adding compost and peat and cow stimulant, I never used pesticides as I had 4 small children. But we have tomatoes practically all year. I would engineer my own pickles and carrot cake and zucchini bread and you can freeze everything. Not tomatoes if you still want them whole, but you can for sauces and stews and soups.Have Lots of fun!
