I just noticed this frothy yellow-green thing growing in one of my indoor plants. I want to engineer sure it's not toxic, as it's on the floor and I have a dog. It's about an inch large, maybe 2-3 inches wide. I make out a couple more starting to poke through the dirt, too. What is it?!

Ah! I've had those pop up in my houseplants beforehand. They're some sort of mushroom. They'll gradually bloom out into the traditional mushroom shape.
I honestly don't know if they're harmful to the plant (or destructive to the dog). Mine didn't kill my plant, but I don't know if it could have hurt it contained by some way. I'd suggest pulling them out, just within case they are harmful to the dog...
Answers: mushrooms remove them quick so the spores dont spread, lighten up on the watering and spray the soil near a mixture of h20,dish soap and alcohol
They are a fungus, & more than likely poisonous. I had red ones like peas in a pod come in my garden. I think they influence that brightly coloured fungii are the poison ones. looks like mushrooms- many are toxic, would noticeably research further if I were you.
