Is it because it is in a container? I am from Mumbai. Which is the best season to transplant the lemon tree to a bigger container? What can I do to stop the falling of flowers subsequent time it flowers?
Answers:    Flowers will not drop just because the tree is contained by a pot,but will certainly do so if the tree is pot bound,if the tree have been within the same container for several years & the roots are very soon so crowded & compact they have no where on earth to spread.Another reason is insufficient nutrition, you will involve to give the plant ,fresh mess & or chemival fertiliser, depending on the age of the plant, many reputable brands, formulated for citrus are avilable surrounded by the market.Sufficient sunlight is also extraordinarily necessary if the plant is to accept fruit.
In India the ideal time to trasplant is during the monsoon, use a much larger container to allow for growth over the subsequent few seasons.Careful root pruning ,by an experienced gardner will also oblige the plant .
Improper drainage in the pot or over watering..they do not obligation tons of water..if if no drainage..eventually will annihilate them..transplant when last arbitrary of frost is gone
