My mom has be trying to care for a lucky rattan for about a week or so, but she isn't sure of the proper prudence. She doesn't know how much water she should dispense it and all of the other compulsory things. Does anybody know how to care for it properly? Thank you. (:
Answers: Hello :)
I hold had lucky rattan for 3 years now. I bought it within Florida when I was visit my dad. I bought a deep clay planter (try to get one at tiniest 8-10 inches deep...to hold the river and pebbles/small rocks needed). You'll need to buy pebbles/small rocks within a gardening center...real cheap, just about $5. Next, find a kitchen size garbage sack and place it in the container as if you are putting it contained by a wastebasket. don't worry around the excess now. Next, flood the container with roughly 2 inches of pebbles 1st...no more...so the ends of the bamboo aren't at the immensely bottom of your container and it allows for growth of roots and water to hold your attention from the ends. Next, hold one piece of bamboo at a time, and stratigically place plenty pebbles around each stalk til it holds within place. I have 5 surrounded by one container (to give you an idea). Have them separated plenty so they aren't touching each other...and consequently carefully flood your container near the top beside pebbles....about 1 inch from the top. Then receive a pair of sissors and cut the excess refuse bag around the tremendously top rim of the container...don't cut below the rim...keep the pack about an inch better than the pebbles...so you can see when you need to add on water and so it doesn't leach...which is the purpose for the bag. The final thing to do is to simply add wet so you can see it just above most of the pebbles on the top surface. in a minute all you own to do is enjoy! Whew! I hope that help :)
