What is the mark of the bulb that have a stalk w/ 4 considerable, dazzling trumpet-like blooms on it?
i need to know how to protection for one of these...I was told that after it blooms, cut it hindmost to the bulb, let it dry and re-plant??I am confused beside this information...HELP!!
Amaryllis. After-Flowering. After the amaryllis has stopped flowering, it can be made to flower again. Cut the old-fashioned flowers from the stem after flowering, and when the stem starts to sag, cut it spinal column to the top of the bulb.

You most likely hold an asiatic lily. Or some other type of lily. I would not cut back the folage since the folage feed the bulb for next year. Just agree to it turn yellow brown and it will die rear itself. Depending on the type of lily you have some do best contained by containers and others in the garden but produce sure it is protected in the winter next to a layer of mulch.
Wikipedia have a good test of images so that you can determine the hotchpotch you have afterwards do a search to vision the specifics for that particular plant.

I own several different varieties and I love them adjectives. But they are all different. I do not trim fund the folage on any of them but let them stay nearby to feed the bulb and bulblets. I do cut stern the stem that the flowers are on about partially way so that the strength goes to the leaves and not to making core. If you have the little bulblets growing along the stem you can pick them rotten and plant them to make more flowers too. They will not bloom the first year or two though.
