My front yard be planted 2 weeks ago (layed with sod). I own been watering every hours of daylight and the grass is looking very green and hearty. At what point should I roll the sod? Should I use a fertilizer on it? When can I cut the grass?
BTW: I live in Tennessee.
Answers: The sod should hold been rolled impossible to tell apart day it be put down. This is to seal the seam and smooth out the surface. Cut back on the watering, watering too frequently will not allow the roots to run deeper searching for dampen and nourishment.
Has the sod started or completely taken root nonetheless? You shouldn't be able to elevate the sod any more. If it has taken root you are OK to cut.
I would dally until next spring to fertilize.
Good luck!
Just hold watering it every day. When it starts looking long, walk ahead and cut it. It probably came beside some fertilizer in in that, I wouldn't worry nearly that for about six months or so.
