I am replacing my deck board with Ultradeck Comqosite deck. What is the best way to attach it?
Answers: There are special screws that don't explanation the composite to build up around the heads beside the waste. They stir in flush and at hand are no 'burrs' to contend with. With regular screw, there is the stuff that gets pushed out and up around the head to deal beside, making the deck unsightly and uncomfortable to step on with nude feet. I'm sure the screw cost more, but they are probably worth it.
Some are either ship knees or toung and groove which means you can press together by nailing at an angle to the top of each board to put by the fastener. Like putting down a rock-hard wood floor. If you just enjoy square edge boards. I would use a colored deck screw, near the color that closely matches the color of the deck. Good luck.
