We'd like to try out composting to reduce our surplus, but we have a small deck that gets exceptionally little sun. No yard, but I won't have a problem getting rid of the compost. Any compost experts out in that have any advice or recommendation? We'd like to keep it inexpensive, sooner.
Answers: Try vermicomposting. There are all kinds of how-to instructions on the trellis about how to do it. You tube is a good place to start. We in recent times started our bin this week, my son is doing it for a boy scout merit badge. All you need is a container, bedding (shredded rag and cardboard), food scraps and "red wigglers". You can buy those at the bait and tackle shops or do some more research to find someone who will donate the worms. Good luck!
