What is a bleeding tree? I can't find it anywhere and I'm supposed to be looking it...

I can't find it anywhere and I'm supposed to be looking it up for homework.
Answers:    I always thought that it be just when the sap started to ooze out. Trees unmistakably don't have blood, so when they receive nicked or cut, sap comes out (depending on the type of tree, of course), which humane of looks like it's "bleeding."
