If I could be any flower, then I would be a carnation. Carnations aren't necessarily the most optically appealing of flowers (vis-a-vis e.g. roses), but they are the most durable and long-lasting. Hence, if I be a carnation, I would have the longest life- or blooming-span and could outlive my floral competitors. Life is precious, especially as a flower! :-)
