Answers: I use tomato fertilizer beside Canna lilies, as this promotes good growth, as ably as tons of flowering.
I'd try to find out what's eating your plants, so that you can next find an appropriate way to control it, as it could be slugs, aphids, caterpillars etc - adjectives of which have a bite at my plants. Dish wash detergent soft, diluted, is good for aphid control, or buy insecticidal soaps, for alike thing.
If it's slugs, you can murder them with slug pellet, many of them are immediately pet/wildlife friendly, if you look for this type of product.
Caterpillars can be picked off, or will be controlled, if sprayed, beside detergent liquid, approaching aphids. As with aphids, the spray wishes to hit the insect concerned, otherwise it will have no effect.
Lastly, insects can be controlled beside systemic insecticides, which enter into the plant sap, and then annihilate anything that eats of sucks the leaves/sap. Ask for this type at a plant nursery, the switch being 'systemic insecticide'.
