I moved to Georgia last year, because my husband is in the military. I know watermelons grow resourcefully, because they just popped up in our patio. What other things can you grow, that you don't have to water too much. Tomatoes died super vigorous, and I don't have tree's in my courtyard, just a fence for shade if that help.
If you know any flowers, or tree's/plants that work well in this weather, please agree to me know that as well. Thanks so much!!
I found out that spinach is ridiculously easy. I get free seeds in the correspondence and threw them in the ground in rather used part of my yard that get almost full sun. Practically never watered them, and they grew like crazy. I was consumption spinach, giving it away, putting it in all kind of recipes, and I never paid attention to the plants at adjectives. The best website I've been able to find that tell you what you will be able to grow and when you should plant it is at http://www.almanac.com/garden/plantingta... All you have to do is place contained by your zip code and the website will customize to your exact location. Best of luck!
I believe pumpkins should work too, as they belong to the same family close to melons. And they love the sun.
Tomatoes would die unfortunately, because they need shade, but you could stir for berries, they grow everywhere.
As for trees, I believe magnolia trees and mirabelle trees love the sun too, but of course all plants stipulation water, especially when it's hot.
All veggies need water to live. Tomatoes are one of the easiest to grow and do fine surrounded by your climate..but they need to be watered every other day if nearby is no rain. banana
cherry
june berry
nothing..unless you marine it to you can grow tomatoes, strawberrys, and blueberrys, oh and eggplants cactus would probably work really well! But also how about citrus trees (lemons, orange), fig tree, daisy bush, Erysimum Bowles Mauve, lilly of the dale and lungwort
Answers: Lantana loves Georgia Sun, and requires the least amount of river. They will bloom from mid June until frost. They have clusters of different colored flowers, they spread out, and will get going on for 3 ft. tall. They are one of our favorite. Link below will show picture, but they have more colors next shown here.
Good Luck
