I'm writing a book and I want the trees in my book to look something close to this:

But I don't know what flowers to use. Have any suggestions?
I think the look you're rying to generate is similar to the lants and trees of the everglades. the plants on the ground look similar to ferns whilst the trees look to be covered in epiphytes, or 'air plants'.
Check the relation for details:

Hi,
I think that for simplicity (and assuming you don't want the panorama to look too "fantastic" or "Middle Earthy", you could try something like weeping willow or weeping birch. When photographed from a low even on a shady evening, they provide an amazing and atmospheric overhang. This would go some course to providing the effect you're after.
Good luck!
Answers:    This picture looks like the balmy rain forest within the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. There would be Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlock, most covered next to moss, and lichen. Flowers on the ground would be Arisaema(Jack In the Pulpit), May Apples, Ferns, Dutchman's Breeches, Trillium, ferns and more ferns. You can easily query through images on Wikipedia for perfect pics.
Calla flowers. Peonies. Wild Roses.
