You'll need an assortment of blooming plants for the scent because they each have period when they bloom and other times when they don't. Careful planning and planting will give you non-stop colour and scents adjectives summer. Undoubtedly the rose. I had a lovely fragrant miniature lilac tree flowering this year though and that was wonderful too.
Lilys - super georgous outside, but bring them indoors and you will swoon - honest. Peonies, wallflowers, heliotrope would be my favourites.
roses :) if you want proof go to your nearest memorial garden, they always smell fantastic Lily of the Valley, Honeysuckle and Freesia are my personal favourites.

peonies smell great. 1 bouquet will scent an entire room for something like a week. Freesia's!

ps. dont know why they would appointment a flower "naked ladies" and you dont see them very normally, but they smell beautiful. Sweet peas have the greatest scent next to the plus of the more you cut them the more you get with roses the subsequent best flowers

Answers: Various roses and jasmine. Grow lavender and when touched you have the lavender smell. Lemon geraniums also when brushed release a pleasant smell. I don't know if it would grow in the UK but in attendance is a plant commonly called pakistani nights which surrounded by the evening on the breeze can be very pleasant.
