What exactly is inside of "Mushroom Compost"? Last time I asked this question, I still didnt go and get...
Last time I asked this question, I still didnt go and get a clear answer to the actual ingrediants or WHY this compost is better than actual composted manure.
I get answers along the line as "It is what they grow mushrooms in", etc.
But I still am unsure of what it certainly is.
someone told me one time that it was in actuality cow manure as very well.
Does anyone know for sure?
and why is it supposedly better than using composted manure?
Thanks for your answers!
Answers: composted horse manure/poultry nourishment stable cleanings straw/hay mixed with powdered urea...
I would guess the just ones who says it is superior to other composts are the ones selling it
the chemical analysis of cow mess compost is around 1-1-1 and if I remember right would be about 3 times more nutrients than what mushroom compost have
spent mushroom compost is supposed to have salt in it and I don't know if the seller have done anything to leach it out previously selling to the public and unless the mushroom farm be certified organic, farm that use it in their production will not receive an life certification
no concept, other than it must be chep becuse they can with the sole purpose use it once, becuse the thing you cant grow within it is mushrooms (not once it has be used for mushrooms)
