I have recieved 2 hanging baskets, I forget what type of flowers they are (I am up to date to 'gardening'). I just remember the tags clich¨¦ "Annual". Does that mean that they come back annually respectively year or that they are only going to live during a certain seasonal time time or what? Also, if they will come back next year, what should I do beside them during the winter?? Forgive me if these are dumb questions.
Just good for this season, perennials run dormant in the winter and come back contained by spring.
An annual is a plant that germinates, grows, blooms, seeds, and dies within the same growing season.
Annuals are perpetuated by collecting kernel and starting fresh the following year. An annual plant is one that grows and dies in one year. It won't come back subsequent year without being reseeded. Not a dumb grill at all.
Answers: It means they are solitary going to bloom or grow during one season, and would have to be replaced " annually " ( yearly )
They will not come pay for next year, the ones that do are called perennials.
I love plants and gardening and I hope you will too.
Just don't start out near anything too expensive lol.
Good luck
