I have a venus fly trap and parts of it are starting to turn yellow. Typically, does that tight I am watering it too much, or not enough?
When the plants turn yellow it usually means its incomplete iron, but i don't know if its the same thing on venus fly traps. in attendance can be more than one reason, in reality several. Get a book from the library or look on line for the care of that demanding plant.
Yellow leaves could mean anything

Too much water
Too little hose
Too much fertilizer
Answers:    Unfortunately, what you're describing is a classic case of not enough sunlight. Venus Flytraps require full sun and are intolerant of shade. Ideally, they should get 6 or more hours of direct sunlight. Flytraps will struggle if they only carry a few hours of direct sun.

When Flytraps fail to get the street light levels they need to state optimal growth, they begin to shut down. Their leaves will turn black and they will be susceptible to mold and fungus.

To salvage your plant, spray it generously near a sulfur-based fungicide. Then place the plant in a location where it can find 6 or more hours of direct sunlight. If that is not possible, consider using 40-watt fluorescent lights. If you do this, you will necessitate to keep the lights approximately 4-6 inches above the plant. The lights should also be on for about 14 hours per hours of daylight. Good luck!
most of the time mine are turning yellow, it means they are dying, or call for more water
