What do you do when rhubarb go to kernel? My rhubarb is going to seed, and I really don't know what...

My rhubarb is going to seed, and I really don't know what to do. Do I cut the seeds sour? Is the old plant still ok or do I have to plant a clean plant? Any help with this would be great! Thanks
Rhubard is a perennial and comes back year after year, the clump getting bigger and bigger. At this point, newly leave the flowers on the plant and leave it alone until subsequent year. Next spring, if you want to extend the harvest and help promote more leaves coming, you should remove the flower stalks asap. Look down into the plant, and you will see them coming long previously they actually bloom...just cut them rotten with a sharp knife down low.

The plant is fine, don't verbs about planting a new one. Just be in motion out with a knife and chop out the nut pod things. You can take out the entire stock. It won't hurt the plant or anything. Just put them in your compost bin or drop them underneath the plant on the ground. Also you can put the leaves you chope off arund the plant too. It is good fertilizer and help keep the weeds down.

Also if you want a bummper crop of rubarb, carry some horse manure and put that around the plant. For some reason they really close to the horse manure.
Answers:    Just will it and let nature purloin its course. When the stalks die off cut them off. The plant will be fine.
