What do you do near the daffodil foliage after the flower have died? i tied a knot with them. is that alright?
i tied a knot with them. is that alright?
I agree with the others ...
Once the leaves are sickly just cut them down to ground level.
I used to plant copious other plants that would grow up and around them to conceal the ugly yellowing leaves.
Unfortunately I can't have them very soon because my horses love them. My front yard is fenced off as pasture too. :)
You need to give up your job the leaves until they yellow.
The bulbs are storing up energy for subsequent year.
Around this time of year most of your Daffodil leaves should be yellowed. Just pluck them off.
Tying them in a intertwine or rubber banding them is alot of un-necessary work. The leaves need sunlight.
i don't know. if i were you i would not tie them with a twist. just cut them off. near is no harm in doing so.
You tolerate them be until they start to brown and then you can cut them The foliage is food for the bulb. When they turn yellow I a short time ago twist them at ground level and verbs them out, that way I can plant my annuals. So far every year they are quite delicate!
Answers: My mother other bends down the leaves and keeps them together with a rubberband. I'm not so nice near my daffodil leaves. I think they are ugly, so I merely cut them off and they always grow wager on the next year. My mother always scold me and tells me that my daffodils won't come back the subsequent year, but they always do. So tying them in a confuse is just fine.
