What could be intake the bloomed and unbloomed flowers stale my lilies and how can i stop it?
Here's another possibility. It could be deer. I don't know if they close to lilies, but I know they like roses. I've heard of using a motion sensor sprinkler (called "scarecrow) to startle them away, but I don't know if they work. Personally, I don't have a deer problem, so I can't give a specific answer. (I own rats, possums, squirrels & racoons--oh my!)
I devise it is most likely snails/slugs. They come out at night and look for tender moist things to drink. You can check by looking for dried slime (shiny) around the buds and on the stem. Lily leaves are not that appealing to slugs and snails but they do like the flowers and buds. I don't think a bunny could realize them!
I use a natural product called "Sluggo" to keep hold of the buggars away from my garden and my favorite plants. It is an iron based compound that is not unfavourable to pets like some poisons. It was recommended to me by life gardeners and it works wonders! Another possibility is to put some copper strips (available at garden supply stores) around the plants or pot or bed that they are in. Slugs don't like to crawl over the copper.
Good luck to you and your lilies!
Answers: Are there big bold bunnies in your vista? These buggers don't have any respect for the gardener's pride and joy, they a moment ago keep on mowing it down.
There are pest-deterrent sprays for all kind of garden pirates to keep them away. Check them out at any large garden center resembling Lowes, Home Depot...
A shotgun would take care of them also, but you obligation to stay all night long, and that might be tough.
Good luck.
