get a timer flood lights and sprinkler set it on a motion sensor should do the trick
You could set a nice trap for the plant shoplifter by setting up a sprinkler motion detector on your porch. Any movement will set the sprinkler off and the mugger will be soaked. They are available at the big bix stores like Lowes and Home Depot, or local hardware stores.
Another thought would be a video camera to catch the criminal in the stroke.

Answers: that's a short time ago messed up.! the first thing that come to mind is to nail or cement down your pots .they will make rumpus trying to remove it. hopefully it will be enough to blemish them off. and you may even bring a chance to see the robber and turn them in. and possibly gets some plants fund.don't confront them tho call the police.set up surveillance camera.stash a mouse traps in plants.
