we've got alot of weed in our garden and no yelp. it is a big garden and would like yelp in our garden but too expensive. yelp is used to keep moisture within the soil and to keep out the weed and stuff. what can replace this?

We put straw on our garden, I am assuming that this is a vegetable garden and not flowers? Otherwise you could use a glutinous layer of dry pine needles. The pine needles may incorporate a little sour to your soil but I have done this and it hasn't harmed any of my flowers.
