I know I should put a N,P,K on it. But there is a trace constituent a pecan tree likes and I can't remember what it is. Also no lime right?
Answers:    Zinc not as much as is called rosette. The most discernible symptoms of rosette are bronzing and mottling of leaves; early defoliation; deceased twigs in tops of trees; unusually small nuts; small, yellowish, chlorotic leaves; short thin twigs growing on elder scaffold branches next to rosettes of small, yellowish leaves at the tips. An early sign is a rounded margin on the leaflets.
Keep tree okay watered and if you want, in the spring or formerly temp reaches 95, use a soil drench.
Mix any hose down soluble fertilizer in a 5 gallon bucket and dump it from end of tree out to drip line. Depending on the size of your tree, you may be at hand for a while!!!

It really does work, but only for for a while while.
