propane torch or boiling hot sea.
or put on a black or clear plastic sheet on a sunny day and cook them into oblivion.
Sorry to disappoint your wife but Roundup contains glyphosate which be designed specifically to be green and earth friendly.
When the glyphosate comes in contact beside soil, specifically clay, although virtually all soil has some clay, it is neutralised into a non-hazardous compound. A very small amount of soil will neutralise a lot of Roundup. Indeed if the weed are covered in dust the Roundup won't affect them.
It is also in category 3 for toxicity. Cat. 1 worst/Cat. 4 best. So no leading fear about poisoning the pets.
Answers: I use vinegar and it works well without bloodbath the nutrients in the soil for good.
Goats work all right... but they're not for everyone. A mixture of one part vinegar to two parts water works pretty capably too.
