Answers: I'm confused, why not just gross 4, they're the same size? I'm not poking fun, I do it adjectives the time. The depth of 2"(inches) should read 2' (feet) right. 2" of soil isn't going to grow much, maybe a weed. RScott
On the trellis! However you can make them for 1/4 the price and basically as easy as the kit. You have to snap together the kit and dig somewhat trench to set it in, it's not minus work! So buy 4 2x12 and one 4x4 post cut in 4 twelve inch section (they will cut it at home depot)use redwood lumber cause it's best-- buy 1 1/2 inch wood screw, now basically screw the boards to the post sections and you own the bed!
