Why do you have to apply Weed, Feed & Moss Killer 2 days after you've cut the sward and the weather is dry? What is the reason you cannot apply/spread after mowing and the weather is damp/raining?
The best time to apply weed and feed is when the grass is sopping and dewey in the morning. The granule work the best if they are able to stick to the leaves of the weed and get enthralled into the plants. You do not want to do it when rain is expected as this will merely wash the chemicals sour before they enjoy a chance to do their assignment. And yes, wait a year or two after mowing before applying.
