Hi,

I really want to build an indoor garden, in a bed of rocks. I stipulation to protect the wooden floor and was thinking of putting a plastic tarp down later fill it up near soil and grow my garden in it. Would this be a problem for drainage after watering plants? I hold a heated wooden floor and I do not want to damage it. I cannot devise of any other plant to keep my floor protected... Also would a heated floor during winter do any damage? Any advice?

Thanks surrounded by advance!
You could elevate the floor of the intended indoor garden, like 2 inches above the heated floor. Thus, the genuine floor can breathe and won't be damaged. And you can find a bearing for draining the elevated garden. Just be creative so you can enjoy the garden.

Wow, what an idea!

Yes nearby would be a drainage problem, both for the plants and for the floor, even with a plastic tarp.

Yes, the garden would harm the floor, and the heated floor would damage the garden.

Why don't you capture several large flower pots? Even after you have to take care about drainage hurtful the floor, but it is more manageable.

What in the region of sunlight? All plants need an excess of sunlight.
Answers:    Why not do a Container-garden & use your Rocks to make elegant it all? This route, you can water respectively container without worrying roughly speaking the water, provided you own some sort of a dish on bottom, to catch the sea. You could take 2 big clay pots, bolt them together, put the dish underneath, & plant your seeds contained by the top one. This also makes a honourable little table, if you put a piece of plywood on top, if you don't want to use it for flowers or vegs.
