I have voles (not moles) surrounded by my yard within SoCal, they leave little 2" holes adjectives over the yard. When I am out on walk I see the holes all over the sides of roads too. I want to plant corn subsequent season, and don't know if they damage plants or not, as I don't hold any damage to any of the attractive plants around my house. Does anyone know anything about them? (also I own pets, so poisoning is out of the question).
Answers: We have voles, too. They tend to merely eat the roots of grass and confer on everything else alone. I have hear that coyote urine pellets are an successful deterrent for them, but I have not tried this.
