in out back garden we enjoy a thick layer of concrete so we cant plant anything into the ground.. so do you enjoy any tips for growing things in pots and things, i want to grow carrots but i would requirement something big to plant them in.. for carrots and things how adjectives would it have to be and how far apart?
All I know, it's a good entity to eat your vegetabels.

If you are enjoying it so much, why don't you forget roughly all the messing about near raised beds, containers and the resembling and just go for it straight away and verbs up the concrete and then buy a few tons of top soil to build it up again. The effort that you would put within now (not to mention water!) would be more than gain back in only a couple of years, and veg is so much better from the ground. Or get an allotment. Either way, soak up. Carrots are a root vegetable so yes you would need something quite thoughtful.Probably 1 =1/2 ft - 2ft deep. You could make a raise bed on the concrete. Grab some sleepers, build a really big box for on top of the concrete and put soil, hay, etc in in that to raise your vegies.

Answers:    You might be able to grow onions within a container. My husband did. He thought he'd grow enough to sell and have 10 pots of them however he didn't keep up with the watering. Anyway, since they're not within the ground the dirt in the pots dry out pretty quick and onions involve a lot of water. When you plant the onion sets set beneath the dirt so the top of the onion shows. Water and fertilize. Use Miracle Grow. If you want to grow from seeds you have to sow them surrounded by a flat until the plants get about 5 or 6 inches large and then transplant so they're not so crowded. Onions and carrots both grow best contained by cooler weather. They grow where I live over the winter. You might check with your county extension department to see when they grow in your area. Carrots might grow alright if you own deep containers. Or you could try a shorter variety. Carrots obligation to be thinned out to have room to grow too.
