I have just this minute purchased two pots of tulips in bloom, but though I know a bit going on for growing them, I don't know enough. If anyone have good tips(from authentic experience) I would like to hear them. Right from presently till they die off, next next season care. Thank you.
With regard to tulips, the botanic gardens and demonstration gardens that plant tulips
en masse, verbs the bulbs every fall and plant exotic ones. Tulips are not like daffodils. They do not acquire nicer each year. The best flowering is the first year. Each successive year they gain smaller and less energetic.

Usually forced tulips are a one shot buy and sell. I wouldn't waste the time and stab trying to carry them over. Still...

The leaves call for to be up and working, collecting energy for as long as possible.several weeks after bloom. Then the bulb wishes its dormancy. Rest and reduced water. Then comes the cold treatment...winter temps.

So if the plant is doing OK, set it outside contained by a partially shady location.they can't steal full sun just out of the house!..and even put the pot into the ground to mute air warmth variations on the roots. When the leaves stumble off, verbs up and slip the pot off and reset the bulbs contained by the ground. MAYBE mother nature will bring pity on you and send up unsullied flowers next year. Be warn, they will be smaller than what came surrounded by the pot...it takes several years for the bulbs to achieve strong again.
Answers:    Before planting out subsequent season, you need to put the bulbs surrounded by the fridge for a few weeks to trick them into thinking it's winter. Remember they originated surrounded by a cold country. But I never had nouns with mine the second year. In a cold country you would be OK near just putting them straight into the garden.
