This year I added some slow release fertilizer (specifically made for tomatoes and vegetables) to the top 1 - 3 inches of the soil. Is this all I want to do for fertilzer this summer - or should I water beside a liquid fertlizer occassionally as okay?

FYI - I am growing the tomatoes in containers
Answers:    i am a professional contained by this field, and as a professional i am recitation u - it is better underfertilize than overfertilize. if u overfertilize u may kill a plant - when soil become too concentrated with chemicals plant starts giving dampen to the soil (it is called diffusion - matching - water other goes towards more concentrated solution) instead of taking it from the soil. so if u put already solid slow release fertilizer u should permit your plants bee. especially if they grow not in amenable soil but in containers. otherwise your plant would die of dehidration no situation how much u will water it - it will simply not take any sea from soil. and i hope u put exact amount of fertilizer. good luck
No---pick one method and stick beside it.
