i am new to the yard mart thing.
what time should it start and finish?
Start at 8 or 9 but unless you can lock your front yard or barrier your gate, be prepared for rude pushy people who apparently can't read in good health to show up at least an hour before the stated time. Don't count on doing any preparing surrounded by the morning, they'll be swarming you early. Things will slow down pretty much by noon but you might as powerfully stick around till two at least. Depends a lot on the light of day. Believe it or not, Fridays are the best, and the end of the month together are a killer combination.
As for the time, most really serious negotiate hunters start at 7:00 a.m.. The average Joe 9-10 a.m. The "early birds" as they have come to be set, will try to get you to open for business even closer. Just ignore them.
As for the finish time, doing a garage sale can be enormously tiring. I personally compromise and go from 8:00 to 2:00. Make sure to read tips and tricks on the trellis. Good Luck! $$
in good health most yard sales due own set times , but they dont have too. You could just other set things up and see how it goes and if you have a great deal of people keep it widen if not wait a while ( 2-3 hours) for any "customers" and if you dont win any close it all down, but if you want set hours most people acquire up and get going by 10:00 am so at the latest start afterwards, but some people whom do the yard mart shopping reguarly get up earlier close to 8:00am or 9:00am so If I were you start at about 9:00am and turn until you either sell adjectives your stuff of until dark!, if you dont want to work that long go for just about 6:00pm ! GOOD LUCK !! :)
P.S. Make sure that you have small bills/change to break larger bills, and also have music, or drinks (WATER!) and flog the sale and its start time WELL!
hmmm. it depends. i would say start at 8 am and ending around 3 or 4 pm. the latest i would say to extremity would be 5 to 6. Start at 8am, end as soon as you get bored and traffic slows down. Probably surrounded by mid-afternoon, say 3 or 4pm. Good luck!
I would start early and last until just about 6 is the lastest so probably 8-6 would be good time unless you do not want to do it that early 10am is a moral time as well.. Offer some water or coffee is polite but not neccesary.. If you have kids maybe they well-mannered sell lemonade or something to keep them busy.. 8 AM to 4 PM are fitting time. Don't let in any hasty birds.
Have plenty of small change and one dollar bills. If you have anything relatively small and sensible, keep it near your table. Keep your eye on the currency box at all times.
Have free coffee. That will make culture linger a little longer.
Have everything debonair and clean. Good luck.
Answers: It all depends on the nouns you live in.
The ones around here start around 8 A.M. and end whenever the customers stop coming. We on the odd occasion have them on Sundays. But, where my sister lives, they enjoy them on Sundays all the time.My mom lives in Florida, and they budge to the sales starting at 6A.M. I guess its whatever suits you, newly advertise your hours so people know. Also, preserve it open so working people can stop by after work. You will catch a lot of business then.
