Answers:    Sure. The lemon tree would not put the chemicals fromthe roots into its fruit - at least not that I hold ever heard of. I think if that be possible, then people would be advisory folks not to let certain plants grow hard by or on fruit trees and I have never heard such a comment. I focus you are fine eating that fruit - if it makes you nervy, prune those roots back so it does not become more attached.
