The leaves of my Florida Anise bush are turning pale. Why - is it because of the drought within Georgia? ...

Answers:    Florida Anise cannot take too much drought, especially if it get used to irrigation. It probably is not too late to stockpile it, but you will have to dampen. It is still OK to water surrounded by Georgia if it is recycled water from the hip bath, the kitchen sink, or collected "warm-up" shower water that would typically go down the drain. A lot of trouble, but it beat dead plants!
Hi:
Your leaves could be turning sickly due to the drought. I live in South Carolina and the drought have taken a toll on so many existing foreign and older trees and shrubs. Are you watering it due to the drought? Sometimes over watering a plant will turn your leaves wan.

Take your finger nail and collect the bark of a branch. If the color is green - the Florida Anise is fine. If it is brown - it could be within shock. Take a handfull of six month slow nitrogen release fertilizer and spread it around the base of the shrub. Drip hose down if for a good ten minutes and should back the Anise. Anise can also be tempermental at times.
