Hi, I would like to stress that this is not a trick, its serious.
I was working within the garden this evening, and I was digging up some soil for the flower bed when I come across a small piece of some green glowing substance... it be a little bit smaller than a pinhead, probably as big as the note o in this font that you're reading.
what within the world is this stuff? it kind of freaked me out... should I be worried?
A protein found within a jellyfish that fluoresces, or glows green, when UV street light shines on it. This could be from some additions to the soil used as a type of fertilizer (jellyfish or other sea creatures) for tomatoes (I reason - or some other types of vegetables).
It might enjoy been a illumination worm, which is a larval stage of a firefly or lightning bug. I've found them when weeding effective dark. They live within the ground until they reach manhood.
Are there fire flies within your area? It's going on for the right time for the larvae to be influential and you might have stirred them up. They are zilch to worry just about, other than human being weird.
Answers: If my husbands memory serves him correctly, he think it is a small insect/caterpillar, semi luminous. lives in the soil, but we've not be in France long and enjoy not seen any here, so far. Best particular in Peak District, Derbyshire. Regards Shirley & Clive Caulfield
