Hi I reside down south in texas. Both my daughter and myself be mowing our lrg yard and my daughter come across while mowing a HUGE BIG SPIDER!!! :0 I have never see a spider this huge and this color and I am hoping that you can help me out ... IT is shaped approaching a black widow,but the body is white with brownish. stripes not up and down. straight across the put money on. legs are blk with ginger strips has long legs and long fang...Does anyone have an conception to what kind of spider it may be? I receive the chills just thinking and speaking of it...
Most likely a balck widow. If it be me, I would'nt have time to look at it. I'd be running as express as I could.
tarantula?? anda those things can get HUGE! however, theyre relatively friendly as associates keep them as pets. so your daughter probably mowed someones pet spider! hahaha but spiders are CREEPY!!!

if so, it's the common garden spider call an ORB spider because of the shape of the web it spins... it's a great aid in the garden to acquire the bugs.....and they are pretty much harmless unless handle roughly.... we love having them.... they're so interest to see as they build the web.... day by day.. they do like to move house and home regularly.... the 'zipper' down the center of the web is what really make sure which one it is..... note... this is the nice spider from Charlotte's Web...... remember the little pig and the spider?.....
hope you find it's this one so you can relax.... she's simply wanting to get some bugs, bring in an egg sac and get in place to die this winter... let her be if you can.....
ps... it's not a adjectives thing to find Hobo and Widows out surrounded by the open... they prefer to hide away in dull woody places like barns, wood piles and sheds, not out surrounded by the grass or hanging sour a web surrounded by the sunlight!!!....
